The Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) 2025 in Bali was packed with action, and one of the most highly anticipated events was the wund+™ Sabuk Emas KASAL 2025—a combat sports showdown where top fighters battled for the prestigious title.

Held on 18 February 2025 at Lapangan Niti Mandala, Renon, Bali, this competition showcased the Indonesian Navy’s commitment to promoting and developing combat sports in Indonesia. Beyond the fight itself, the event highlighted the physical and mental endurance crucial in the naval and maritime world.
A total of 11 intense bouts took place across multiple disciplines, including boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Taekwondo. The competition attracted fighters not only from Indonesia but also from Vietnam, the United States, and India. One of the standout moments of the event was a women’s kickboxing match, proving that the energy and intensity of combat sports are for everyone.
The grand finale saw Brian Alfa Ferdinand Lawitan from Sukabumi crowned as the Taekwondo champion, earning the coveted wund+™ Sabuk Emas KASAL 2025. His victory was honoured by Admiral Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy. Admiral Muhammad Ali personally presented the championship belt, recognising the resilience, discipline, and fighting spirit displayed by all competitors.
