This multilateral maritime exercise brings together 38 nations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia.
More than just a naval exercise, MNEK 2025 carries the theme “Maritime Partnership for Peace and Sustainability”, focusing on disaster relief, humanitarian assistance, and non-combat maritime security.
As part of this commitment, the event also includes environmental conservation initiatives aligned with global sustainability efforts. Activities such as the release of 500 sea turtle hatchlings, coral reef restoration, and mangrove reforestation and preservation are among the key efforts.
According to the Bali Provincial Government, MNEK is an actualisation of the Indonesian Navy’s (TNI AL) Military Operations Other Than War (OMSP), strengthening international cooperation to ensure regional stability.
