Soothe, Heal, and Minimize Scars on Your Little One

Kids are always on the move—running, jumping, climbing. It’s all part of their everyday adventures. That’s why scrapes, cuts, and minor wounds are so common. Even if the injury isn’t serious, how a parent reacts in the moment makes a big difference—not only in treating the wound, but also in calming a child who may be shocked or frightened.

When your child gets hurt, the first step is to stay calm and gently ask where it hurts. Then, follow these basic steps for effective wound care:

1. Clean the wound properly
The first and most important step is cleaning the wound. Don’t just rinse it quickly with water. Run clean water over the area to remove dirt and debris. Then, apply wund+™ Wound Spray directly onto the wound. This hypochlorous acid–based spray is gentle yet effective at protecting the wound from infection.

2. Keep the wound protected
After cleaning, cover the wound with a clean, dry bandage. This helps prevent germs from entering and keeps the area moist, supporting faster healing. Replace the bandage every few days—or sooner if it gets wet or dirty. Always wash your hands before and after touching the wound.

3. Avoid rough play and sun exposure
Try to keep your child from playing too roughly or bumping the area with the wound. Avoid swimming until the wound is fully closed. Even after it heals, don’t leave the scar exposed—cover it with clothing or apply sunscreen to prevent it from darkening.

4. Prevent scars from forming
Once the wound has closed and started healing, apply wund+™ Scar Gel regularly. This gel contains stem cells from Centella reversa, which help smooth and fade scars. Use twice daily, gently massaging it into the skin to support optimal absorption.

All wounds may leave marks, but with the proper care from the very beginning, you can help minimize scarring. And don’t forget: good nutrition plays a crucial role in your child’s healing process, so ensure they receive the necessary nutrients.
