With 38 participating nations, including the United States, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia, the initiative focused on ocean preservation—because protecting marine ecosystems today means securing a better future for generations to come.

Opening the event, Commodore TNI Heri Tri Wibowo, Head of Naval Operations for the Indonesian Navy, emphasised that MNEK 2025 is more than just military drills—it’s about taking real action for the planet. As highlighted by the Bali Provincial Government, this aligns with the Military Operations Other Than War (OMSP) strategy, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability.
